Day 1 – Lake Nakuru National Park

We depart Nairobi in the early morning and drive down the Escarpment to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. The park covers 180 sq km and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Overnight at a lodge/ tented camp.

    Day 2 – Masai Mara

We head south to Narok; towards the expansive Masai Mara Reserve. We stop for lunch at the lodge (or tented camp) followed by an afternoon game drive to experience the Mara Magic, returning for a sun downer and dinner in the evening.

Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal as well as cheetahs and leopards which are harder to spot.

    Day 3 – Masai Mara

The day is spent exploring the reserve through morning and afternoon game drives. Alternatively spend the entire day in the park with packed lunches which is highly recommended during the wildebeest migration months from around June to September.

You may opt to do additional activities offered at the lodges as well. For example; balloon trips are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast. You may also visit a local Masai village or school just outside the reserve. Picnic lunches and night game drives can also be arranged at some properties.

    Day 4 – Nairobi
After breakfast we depart back towards Nairobi viewing game en route with packed lunches arriving in the afternoon hours. Drop off at your hotel or airport depending on your arrangements made. END OF SERVICES.
