Itinerary

Day 1Tarangire

Early morning pick-up from your hotel (0700 am) and proceed to Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive followed by lunch at the lodge or tented camp. In the afternoon we enjoy an afternoon in the park viewing game followed by dinner and overnight.

Tarangire National Park is more densely vegetated than the Serengeti, covered primarily in acacia and mixed woodland including baobab trees and supports similar large mammals to the Serengeti. (Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 2Ngorongoro

Early morning game drive in Tarangire before check out and departure towards the Ngorongoro conservation area. Arrive the lodge located on the edge of the crater in time for lunch. In the afternoon descend into the crater to enjoy a full crater tour and return afterwards for dinner and overnight.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best known wildlife viewing areas and one of Tanzania’s most visited. Within its walls are a variety of animals and vegetation, including grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans and a fresh water lake. You are likely to see lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and many of the plains herbivores such as wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, zebra, reedbuck, as well as thousands of flamingos wading in the shallows of Lake Magadi – the soda lake at the craters base. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner included)

Day 3Serengeti

Leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation area we drive into the Serengeti National Park game viewing en-route as we arrive the central Serengeti. We arrive for lunch at a lodge or tented camp before proceeding on a full afternoon game drive returning later in the evening for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 4 & 5Serengeti

The next 2 days will be spent game viewing in the park. Depending on the month you travel; you may choose to re-locate to accommodation which follows the wildebeest migration pattern.

As a rough guide for the wildebeest migration pattern:
December – March: Serengeti Southern Plains for the calving (Feb-March)
April – May: Serengeti Southern Plains to the Central Serengeti
June – July: Serengeti Central to Serengeti Western Corridor, where they cross the Grumeti River
August to October: Serengeti Western Corridor to Northern Serengeti, where they encounter the Mara River.
(Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 5Serengeti to Karatu

After an early morning game drive; we return to the camp in time for breakfast before check-out. We depart with an enroute gamedrive to the exit gate, arriving Karatu county lodge in the afternoon for check in, a refreshing sun downer and dinner.
Optional olduvai gorge visit. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 7Karatu to Lake Manyara to Arusha

A short drive to Lake Manyara national park for a morning game drive. We visit the Masai market place at Mtu wa Mbu where it is possible for you to purchase carvings and other memorabilia before driving back to Arusha town. Drop off at your hotel or airport depending on arrangements made. End of services. (Breakfast, Lunch included)

Manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain times of the year hosts thousands of flamingos and a diversity of other bird life. Although it is one of the smallest parks, its vegetation is so diverse enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats such as the divine fig woodland near the entrance gate which offers superior bird watching
