Highlights

If you have limited time to explore the vastness and diversity of Kenya, then this is the trip for you. From the wilderness of Samburu, to the ‘Jewel’ of Kenya’s wildlife viewing area in the Maasai Mara to enjoy fabulous game drives and then stop at Amboseli to see up close the vast herds of Elephants that live on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Tour Details

From Nairobi we take you on a short hop by plane to Samburu, where on arrival you will enjoy the wonderful scenery and game en route to your Lodge/ Tented camp. The following two days are spent discovering the Samburu’s scenery, its wildlife and its lifeline, the almost perennial Ewaso Nyiro River. The river and its’ brown water (from which its name derives) dictates the landscape; when it flows its wide banks are lined by swathes of green attracting an amazing variety of wildlife. By the side of the river the forest shade is home to Elephants, the Long Necked Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe and the occasional Leopard. Evenings are spent together enjoying Sundowners and after supper Board Games and for those who simply wish to take time out, there is always Stargazing.

From Samburu to the Mara, ‘the Jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas’ and here you will enjoy fabulous game drives. If you wish there is also the option of a night game drive offered at some properties which is a unique experience not to be missed. Alternatively, you may choose a trip to the local Maasai Village who are always happy to share their experiences and culture with you.

From here we fly to the plains of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you will explore Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most popular parks, named from the Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. This is one of the best places in Africa where you will see vast herds of Elephants up close and postcard perfect pictures are guaranteed.
