Highlights

Meru National Park is wild and beautiful. Straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams. It has been made famous by the book and film Born free that recounted the story of the lives of George and Joy Adamson, and the Lioness, Elsa.

Tour Details

Meru National Park Conservation Area is the second largest adjoining Elephant habitat in Kenya after the Tsavo National Parks. It is one of the best places in Kenya to see Rhinos in the wilderness. At last count, the 83 sq km Rhino Sanctuary was home to 34 black and 70 white rhinos. The park is also famous for its Lions and large Buffalo herds. We will base ourselves in a small Tented near the park with en suite facilities and explore the park from there.
